Snr Director of Field Engineering ▲Vercel

A GTM Technical leader with 25 years' experience turning complex technology into customer confidence, team capability, and commercial momentum. Four inflection point hires, often joining before the playbook exists, and building the field teams, operating models, and narratives that turn technical potential into compelling customer value and accelerated adoption.

Currently at Vercel, where I was the founding Sales Engineer early 2021 and currently lead Field Engineering across EMEA & APJ - helping organisations build faster, more resilient web and agent-based experiences. Previously I spent over half a decade at Adobe, working on the platforms that power digital media worldwide, and was in the initial cohort at Cloudinary's EMEA Enterprise team a rare 'bootstrapped to $billion' story.

“To have a front row seat to the next small step in the evolution of how our species communicates”

I am currently exploring roads less travelled with Traivel Guide, and working on Be9.ing - a platform for intentional living. Along the way I've founded Storyus - a Slow Social platform for families, Haktive - getting children and families active, authored Practical Responsive Images, and co-authored the Web Almanac 2020 Media chapter.
I believe the best technology disappears into the background, can be formed into tools for intentional living, and lets people create, and tell their stories in a manner which fosters gratitude and meaningful connections.

The Story Behind the Photo

Inspired by the iconic Steve Jobs biography cover, our 11-year-old daughter wanted to try replicating it - so she sat me in the garden for a photoshoot, and I'm pretty blown away with what she produced.

She's been responsible for some of my favourite portraits, and this one was her idea after she was helping me with inspiration for my personal website rebuild.
